Dr. Maureen Kimmeth is a Board-Certified Optometrist with a specialty in medical eye care and glaucoma care. Throughout her career, she has been committed to providing comprehensive, thoughtful eye care while developing a deeper understanding of the science and technology behind vision and eye health.
Dr. Kimmeth earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology through the Honors Program at William Paterson University in New Jersey. She subsequently earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from Drexel University.
Following graduation, Dr. Kimmeth built a career spanning nearly three decades in optometry, with a particular focus on medical eye care including glaucoma and specialty contacts. Her approach to patient care combines extensive clinical experience with a commitment to staying current with advances in eye health and treatment.
In addition to her clinical career, Dr. Kimmeth has spent more than 20 years researching and developing ideas related to eye care and technology. Her work has included extensive research and the development of inventions, including a patent that is currently pending. She also participated as a clinical investigator in a Glaukos-sponsored clinical study related to glaucoma, contributing to the evaluation and clinical care of patients enrolled in the study.
Dr. Kimmeth believes that excellent eye care involves more than simply determining a patient's prescription. It requires listening carefully, recognizing changes in eye health, educating patients, and taking the time to understand each individual's needs.
After many years devoted to caring for patients and advancing her knowledge of optometry, Dr. Kimmeth remains passionate about the profession and the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of the people she serves. Dr Kimmeth has acheived many awards throughout her years in practice.
Her family includes her older son in the medical field and younger son as a computer/electrical engineer.
Dr Kimmeth is committed to God and attends Christ Chapel Church.
